Welcome to the Xi Beta chapter of Chi Omega! FUN FACTS:
-Chi Omega is the LARGEST and STRONGEST sorority in the nation!

Chi Omega is an intergenerational women's organization forever committed to our founding purposes, and serving the world while keeping Chi Omega ever at heart. It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment. One in four sorority women are Chi Omega's.
-Every year, over 5,000 young women across America join the largest women’s fraternity in the world for sisterhood and lifelong friendships.

WHY CHI O: I chose ChiO because every time I got to talk with the girls, I was never ready to leave because it felt like I was talking to my best friends at home. I felt like I was getting the opportunity to surround myself with an amazing group of girls for an incredible cause.

WHY CHI O: I chose Chi O because I felt so comfortable with the girls during recruitment and could immediately see myself being part of the chapter. Everyone is so funny, kind, supportive, and motivated academically, which made Chi O feel like the perfect fit for me.

WHY CHI O: I chose Chi O because I really connect with the morals and purpose of the organization and feel like they align with who I am. Everyone I met was so welcoming and kind, and I could tell that the genuine friendships and supportive environment were something I wanted to be a part of.

Earlier this week we hosted UMaine Chi Omegas first ever spicy wing eating competition in support of our philanthropy, Make-A-Wish!! We are so thankful for the University of Maine community helping to create the best possible turnout!
