The City of Portsmouth is hiring a Community Development Assistant Director!
📍 Location: Portsmouth, OH
💼 Position: Full-Time
💰 Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually
In this role, you'll support local improvement projects, neighborhood revitalization, infrastructure planning, and economic development initiatives. Responsibilities also include grant writing, grant administration, regulatory compliance, and working with residents and community organizations.
Qualifications include:
✅ 1–2 years of experience in public administration, community development, or the nonprofit sector
✅ Experience with grant writing, administration, or compliance, including CDBG, CHIP, and ARC grants
✅ Strong writing, organizational, and database management skills
✅ An associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
