What started as a small act of kindness has grown into a resource made possible through the dedication of our College community and partners like the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.

We’re grateful for this partnership and the role it plays in helping our students succeed.

The ramen joke about college only works if you don’t know who’s actually sitting in the classroom. At Truckee Meadows Community College, the average student is 24, and about 70% are going part time while working, raising kids, or both. When rent, power, and groceries all go up, food is usually the first thing to give.

“Our students are some of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen,” says Katie Massey, who manages TMCC’s campus pantries. Their pantry, Wizard’s Warehouse, now serves up to nearly 500 people a month, and it started with a desk drawer full of peanut butter, rice, and beans.

Cybersecurity isn't just something we talk about. It's something our students train for.

This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we're taking you inside cybersecurity education at TMCC.

Through TMCC's Cybersecurity program, students build skills in areas including ethical hacking, cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics and network security, preparing them to take on the cybersecurity challenges organizations face every day.

And now, TMCC's new Cyber Range is giving students another space to put those skills into practice through hands-on learning!

Because the people protecting tomorrow's technology have to start somewhere.

Being the first in your family to attend college is a journey worth celebrating.

Truckee Meadows Community College is joining colleges and universities nationwide in recognizing the achievements and aspirations of first-generation college students.

On Friday, Nov. 6, our First-Generation College Celebration will feature a "Dress for Success" showcase with first-generation student volunteers modeling professional and industry-appropriate attire donated by two local nonprofit organizations supporting student success, Dress for Success Reno - Northern Nevada and In Italia Men's Wear

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, moments like these remind us that awareness is also about compassion, connection and supporting those around us.

At last week's Cancer Awareness event, Truckee Meadows Community College's Classified Council invited attendees to write messages of support on a shared poster for people in their lives who have been affected by cancer.

Big news for EMS providers across rural Nevada! 🚑

TMCC has received nearly $1.7 million in grant funding to bring essential EMS training directly to rural communities across the state.

Through the new DRIVE Program, approximately 250 EMS providers will have access to continuing education they need throughout their careers.
