The Right Eminent Grand Commander, Sir Knight Patrick C. Carr, participated in a morning tour of Arlington National Cemetery. The Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother Dave Hendricks, the Right Eminent Grand Commander, and Right Worshipful Brother Herb Merrick, Worthy Grand Patron, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The Grand Commander said, “This was truly one of the most solemn and respectful things I have done as the Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Kansas.”

The Right Eminent Grand Commander, Sir Knight Patrick C. Carr, visited the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia with several of the officers and members of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Kansas.

What a majestic and beautiful building, especially this room which is the asylum for several of the Pennsylvania Commanderies.

Dr. Wang is investigating Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can be acquired through contaminated food or exposure to contaminated soil or cat f***s and can also be passed from mother to child during pregnancy. Our REGC made a pilgrimage to Canterbury last year to visit the cathedral. He stated, “Last year when I was visiting Canterbury Cathedral, I found many wonderful and reflective places for prayer time. The Crypt was one of my favorites. Even when it was busy, I always felt like I was able to be along and share my thoughts with our Great Creator.”

Prayer can happen anywhere and at any time. Consider taking some time to pray in a place where you can be reflective and focused on our Lord and Savior. It does not have to be grandiose, it just has to be meaningful and personal.

What a fantastic event this evening in McPherson, Kansas. Our Grand Commandery continued a tradition started 5 years ago by Sir Knight Robert McClarty, REPGC.

We hosted the 5th Annual Knight Templar Feast at the McPherson Community Building. We had over 50 people who registered. We had a series of 8 toasts over the course of the evening. The banquet meal was provided by Brother Chris Collins and his mother with MOAB BBQ out of Wichita.

As Right Eminent Grand Commander, I presented 4 awards to very deserving Sir Knights who work diligently for Templary in Kansas.

Our speaker for the evening was my good friend and Sir Knight Moises Gomez from New Jersey. He gave an inspiring presentation on his experiences during the 9/11 tragedy in New York.

Sir Knight Justin Crippen, the Very Eminent Deputy Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Kansas was our emcee for the event and did a fantastic job. Many of our Grand Commandery officers offered the several toasts.

Our Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Kansas, Most Worshipful Brother Dave Hendricks addressed those in attendance.

I am tired, but extremely happy. Our officers did a great job and everyone helped to make the evening a memorable one.

There are so many great things being done through the research being funded by the KTEF. Please prayerfully consider them as your chosen charity or by placing them in your estate planning.

She anticipates that these studies will provide important insight into mechanisms that drive Stargardt disease and find ways to treat this currently untreatable condition.
