PRESIDENT: MEREDITH BARRY
My time in ZTA has shaped my life in so many ways. When I first came to Washburn, I was very hesitant about sorority life. My mom was a ZTA at another school, but I was unsure if sorority life would be the right fit for me. Throughout recruitment, the women of this chapter went above and beyond to make me feel loved, welcomed, and supported. From that moment, I knew I had found a place where I belonged.
I have had the honor of serving as Chapter President and VP Harm Reduction for 2026. I was very nervous about taking on these roles as a sophomore, but the support I have received from my chapter and our alumni has allowed me to grow more confident in my leadership abilities. In 2025, I served as VP Academic Achievement, which was my first-ever position in Zeta. This position will always hold a special place in my heart because I am passionate about my own academics while also supporting others throughout their academic journeys.
I have loved every leadership opportunity ZTA has given me. Each experience has helped me grow as a leader, a friend, and a person. Most importantly, the relationships and memories I have made throughout my time in ZTA will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I am incredibly grateful for everything ZTA has given me, and I am honored to serve as the President of Alpha Mu!

Growing up, I never had many genuine friendships or the deep connections I longed for. Coming to college, I was searching for a place where I could grow, build meaningful relationships, and make a difference. What I found in Alpha Mu was more than I ever expected. I found sisters who believed in me, encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, celebrated my accomplishments, and supported me through every chapter of my life. Zeta became the family I never knew I needed and gave me a place where I could be myself, grow as a leader, and truly feel like I belonged.
Since joining Alpha Mu, I have had the privilege of serving as Think Pink Chair in 2024, VP of Communications in 2025, and now VP of Programming for Fall 2026. Each role has challenged me in new ways and helped me grow as
