Congratulations to Cindy Lynn Sawyer, Children's Author!

Remmy has another sticky situation to celebrate! 🎉

I’m thrilled to share that Remmy’s Sticky Situation received second place in the 2026 American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) KidLit Contest!

This recognition also belongs to my talented illustrator, Jasmine Wall, whose beautiful artwork helped bring Remmy and his story to life. Thank you, Jasmine, for sharing your gifts with this book!

Last year, The Wonder of Under received third place in this same contest. To have another book recognized this year feels incredibly special—and like a sweet reminder to keep following where God leads, even when the path looks different from the one we expected.

It’s also a beautiful reminder to keep following where God leads—even when the path doesn’t look traditional. Remmy’s Sticky Situation was honored alongside both independently and traditionally published books, proving that a quality story can shine no matter which publishing path brings it into the world.

I’m grateful to ACFW KidLit for this honor—and to everyone who has encouraged Remmy and me along the way, especially my family. Most of all, I’m thankful to God for leading me on this journey and giving me the opportunity to do something I’ve dreamed of doing for so long—writing stories for children. 💛

One of the best things about a conference like ours is the opportunity for attendees to sit one-on-one for 15 minutes with a faculty member. What a great opportunity to pitch an idea, ask for feedback, ask questions, or just chat!
