Snaps for the Wartburg College Library! This will help our pre-service teachers a lot!

New craft, study kits available in Vogel Library
The Vogel Library has implemented new kits for checkout:

Craft Event Kit (24-hour loan)
3 scissors, 5 colored pencil boxes, 5 crayon boxes, 5 marker boxes (broad), 5 marker bags (fine), 2 permanent marker bags, 1 black Sharpie, 3 watercolor sets, 7 paintbrushes, 5 pencils with cap erasers, 1 pencil sharpener, 1 large eraser, 1 ruler, 5 glue sticks, 2 glue bottles, 1 transparent tape.

Study Kit (6-hour loan)
Librarian support handout, paper (blank, lined, and graph), No. 2 pencils, pencil sharpener, pens, highlighters, erasers, index cards (lined and blank), sticky notes, white-out fluid, tape.

Bulletin Board Kit (6-hour loan)
Stapler, glue sticks, white glue, tape, Sharpies, marker varieties, scissors, push pins, crepe paper, plastic tablecloth backgrounds.

Education students Vanessa Victoria, Anna Guida, and Lexi Cahoy attended the Iowa Association of The Education of Young Children Conference in Altoona last week. These three along with Professor Dr. Brandy Smith, presented "More Than Play! Building Skills Through Child-Led Learning" at the conference and did a fantastic job! Cahoy and Dr. Michael Bechtel also presented "Aquaponics in a Jar".
Thank you to these amazing Education Students for their outstanding work and for presenting their research to this early childhood community of Iowa.

These Pre-Service Teachers taking "Organization of Early Childhood Programs" - visited the Waverly Childcare and Preschool to observe the school's outdoor spaces. By watching the kids play, it will help them better utilize how outdoor spaces can be an extension to their future classroom learning environment.
