"My experience at Regis College prepared me for life after graduation by helping me grow professionally and personally. Through my education, I developed strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills that I continue to use in my career and everyday life. Regis also taught me the importance of compassion, service, and building meaningful relationships with others.

"My time at Regis encouraged me to pursue lifelong learning, and that is why I returned to the university to pursue the Certificate in Advanced Spanish for Health Professionals. The certificate allowed me to improve my language skills to be prepared to communicate with and care more effectively for our students and their families, and to continue to strive for personal and professional growth."

This is Princesa Gonzalez '26! Learn more about how her Regis experience impacted her post-grad life:

"My experiences at Regis, particularly through my Biology major and Laboratory Operations Management minor, prepared me to transition into my career by giving me both a strong scientific foundation and a practical understanding of how laboratories operate as complex, collaborative environments. My Biology education helped me understand biological processes, laboratory techniques, data interpretation, and scientific problem-solving, whereas my Laboratory Operations Management coursework taught me to think beyond the experiment itself, including workflow, safety, organization, quality, efficiency, and the importance of reproducibility.

One experience that helped prepare me for my present position as a Clinical Sample Analysis Specialist at Olink, Thermo Fisher Scientific, was planning and designing the Biosafety Level 2 laboratory at Regis. This project required me to use biological and safety concepts while also considering how people, equipment, materials, and operations flow through a laboratory. I learned that successful laboratory work requires not only a thorough understanding of the science, but also well-designed workflows, organization, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the creation of an environment in which work can be performed consistently and efficiently. Those same ideas have carried over into my professional career in industry, where attention to detail, established processes, precise sample handling, and teamwork are critical.

Dr. Shannon Hogan also taught me how to approach laboratory work from both a scientific and an operational perspective. That combination has been extremely useful in preparing me for life beyond graduation since it allows me to appreciate the biological aim of the work while also understanding the operational elements that contribute to consistent results. My Regis education allowed me the confidence to enter a professional laboratory atmosphere prepared to learn, adapt, cooperate, and contribute effectively from the start."

President Robin L. Cautin’s first 100 days at Regis College were filled with excitement as she engaged with our community and friends. Today, we celebrate her work and her commitment to the mission and values of Regis. We eagerly anticipate where that work will take us as we begin our next century.

We’re grateful for the care, creativity, and dedication that define our community, and we are excited to write the next chapter together.

Meet Caley Duffty '13! Learn more about her Regis experience:

"My experience at Regis prepared me for life after graduation by teaching me that success is not defined solely by what you accomplish individually, but by how you use your education, your experiences, and your relationships to make an impact on others. Regis gave me a strong scientific foundation, but equally important, it helped develop the communication, collaboration, adaptability, and service-oriented mindset that I rely on every day in my career at Moderna.

Regis also reinforced something that has remained central to who I am professionally: science and service should not exist separately. Working for a company whose mission centers on changing the possibilities of medicine has given me an incredible opportunity to contribute scientifically, but I have also tried to make a meaningful impact on the community surrounding our Marlborough site which ultimately led to my selection as a Moderna Foundation Ambassador for Moderna Gives Back.

Regis prepared me for that journey by giving me more than an education in science. It taught me how to learn, how to collaborate, how to communicate with people who see a problem differently than I do, and how important it is to remain connected to a greater purpose.

For me, that has become one of the most rewarding aspects of my career at Moderna: helping advance science that can change patients' lives while also finding ways to positively impact the people and communities around us."
