Academic Advising is a developmental process for figuring out what to do when. It assists you with streamlining higher educational goals with career goals, and helps you to make realistic choices that are based on your abilities, values, interests and self-awareness. Academic Advising is an ongoing process from enrolment through to graduation and promotes lifelong learning. And at the University of the Free State, we are dedicated to helping you define and meet your life, career and educational goals. How will Academic Advising help YOU? At Kovsies Academic Advising takes place within but is not limited to the different faculties, student support divisions and campus resources. The respective branches forming the advising network help you through giving you accurate and up-to-date information and advice about your academic programme, the curriculum, credits and general knowledge and skills to navigate university. Kovsies Academic Advisors advise, mentor and inspire students. We give you the opportunity to be explorative, individualistic and break out of your comfort zone to discover what you really want to be as a human being. We help you think about your personal, academic and career goals and weave these into a plan of action that makes sense to you. Kovsies Academic Advisors
