At Kovsies Academic Advising takes place within but is not limited to the different faculties, student support divisions and campus resources. The respective branches forming the advising network help you through giving you accurate and up-to-date information and advice about your academic programme, the curriculum, credits and general knowledge and skills to navigate university. Kovsies Academic Advisors advise, mentor and inspire students. We give you the opportunity to be explorative, individualistic and break out of your comfort zone to discover what you really want to be as a human being. They are here to build and equip you with effective strategies to get more than just a degree while at university. We help you think about your personal, academic and career goals and weave these into a plan of action that makes sense to you. Kovsies Academic Advisors
Here at Kovsies, we have a network of advisors including faculty advisors in all 7 faculties as well as academic advisors at the Centre for Teaching and Learning who are available to give general academic advising. We also have other divisions that form part of the Kovsie advising network, including:

Kovsies also has a 1st year mentoring program that runs within the residences. In this program, mentors are assigned to first year students during the first year of study. These mentors have basic training in Academic Advising to answer some of your questions and can refer you to someone for other questions. They are also goal-oriented, compassionate and care about you. Here at Kovsies, the Academic Advising offices want to help you realise your dreams and goals and help you be successful.
