Today at the UFS QwaQwa Campus was filled with questions, conversations, excitement and plenty of moments that made the future feel a little more real.

For many of the Grade 10 learners who joined us, today was a chance to explore, to ask the questions they have been carrying, to learn more about different study options and, perhaps, to picture themselves on a university campus one day.

The photos from today capture more than an Open Day. They capture young people beginning to think seriously about where their choices could take them.

And sometimes, that is where it all starts

Today is the final day of our Grade 9 intervention

These photos are from today's first session, when we met the learners, started the conversations and began what has become a really meaningful journey.

As we bring the programme to a close today, we are grateful for every learner who showed up, participated and allowed us to be part of their journey.

More memories are still to come.

And that wraps up today’s sessions of the Grade 9 Intervention.

It has been a full day of learning, participation, and meaningful engagement, with learners from different schools sharing the same space, taking part, and making the most of every opportunity.

These final photos capture just some of the moments from today’s last session.

We are not done yet. Tomorrow, we return to the Callie Human for the final day of the Grade 9 Intervention, and we look forward to another day of learning, connection, and growth.

Today, Grade 9 learners from different schools filled the Callie Human Hall, each arriving with their own experiences, backgrounds, and hopes for the future.

Among them are learners with different abilities and lived experiences, including Wheelchair users, Blind learners, and Deaf learners. Yet in this space, what connects everyone is far greater than what makes each learner different: the desire to learn, to grow, and to imagine a future filled with opportunity.

Every learner deserves to be seen, supported, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential. Today is about creating that space, together.

This is only the beginning. More moments, more stories and more highlights from the Grade 9 Intervention will follow.

The conversations continue, the questions keep coming, and the future is taking shape.

Here’s another look at our Grade 9 Subject Choice Evening, where learners and parents came together to explore possibilities, make informed decisions, and start thinking beyond the classroom.

Because choosing your subjects isn’t just about what you’ll study next, it’s about opening doors to the future you want to build.

The excitement is already building in the Callie Human

Learners attending tonight's Grade 9 Subject Choice Evening are eagerly making their way through the different stalls, asking questions, exploring their options and beginning important conversations about the subjects that will help shape their journey ahead.

These moments capture the energy perfectly: curiosity, possibility and young people taking an active interest in the choices that will influence their future.

The evening is only getting started.
