Motheo TVET College recently hosted a successful three-day SRC Capacity Building Programme at Imvelo Safari under the theme “Transformative Leadership and Vision.”
The programme aimed to empower Student Representative Council (SRC) members with leadership skills, knowledge, and strategies to effectively serve and represent students across the College.
The capacity-building programme brought together various stakeholders and partners who contributed valuable presentations and engagements throughout the event. The College extends its sincere appreciation to all stakeholders who participated and supported this important initiative.
Among the key contributors were Nedbankofficials, who delivered an insightful presentation on financial literacy, equipping student leaders with essential financial management knowledge. NSFAS was represented by Mr Meqe, who provided important guidance and updates regarding student funding and support services.
The Regional Office of the DHET represented by Mr Vele, delivered a presentation on Occupational Programmes, while Mrs Molaudzi shared a powerful message of support and encouragement to the SRC leadership. The programme also featured engagements from cosacsa.org.za� officials, who highlighted the role of student leadership within the TVET sector.
Additional sessions included presentations by Mr Shopane on the College registration process, Mr Phanya on accountability and leadership responsibility, as well as discussions on student accommodation and the role of the SRC in ensuring student welfare within residences.
The event proved to be highly engaging, informative, and impactful.
The newly elected SRC demonstrated commitment towards building strong partnerships and collaborations that will accelerate student life, strengthen academic support, and contribute positively to the overall development of students at the College.
