On 29 April, the TUT SAICE Student Chapter, together with SAICE student members, had the privilege of attending a site visit to Valterra Platinum Mine in the Waterberg District, Mokopane.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the companies and engineers who made this experience possible. Thank you to Valterra Mine for opening your doors and investing in students by hosting us on site. As a student chapter, our greatest commitment is to bridge the gap between academia and industry, and this visit has meaningfully fulfilled that objective.
We also thank the SAICE Pretoria Branch , Jones & Wagener (Pty) Ltd, Valterra Platinum and Kgarebana Civil & Structural Engineers (Pty) Ltd for sponsoring the trip. Your support and investment in the next generation of engineers are deeply appreciated and will not be in vain.
