The Postgraduate Office (PGO) is a central support and liaison office for postgraduate students and is located within the Division for Research Development (DRD), Stellebosch University, Stellebosch campus. The Postgraduate Office at SU runs a Skills Development Programme that offers a range of workshops to help postgraduate students at SU hone their research and graduate skills, free of charge. T

he aim of the programme is to encourage postgraduate students to take responsibility for finishing their degrees on time by equipping them with tools, skills and strategies to assist them in this endeavour.

The Policy Innovation Lab at Stellenbosch University's School for Data Science and Computational Thinking is looking for a Master's or Doctoral student to join the secretariat of the Goalkeepers South Africa network for one year. Goalkeepers is a Gates Foundation initiative launched in 2017 to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, with a focus on SDGs 1 to 6. The network brings together emerging and established leaders working on some of South Africa's toughest development challenges.

What you'll do:
Support the network's day to day operations: maintaining expenditure trackers, coordinating events, keeping workplans on track, and writing short news articles about network activities.

What we're looking for:
✔️ Enrolled for a Master's degree or higher at Stellenbosch University
✔️ Confident working with complex spreadsheets and budget documents
✔️ Self-driven, organised, and able to manage competing deadlines
✔️ A genuine interest in sustainable development
