We are thrilled to announce the official opening of the NUST Harare Branch Library at ZIMDEF House, bringing NUST’s academic resources closer to students, researchers and the wider academic community in the capital.
The official opening was presided over by University Council Member, Ms Katherine Nyachionjeka, who also had the honour of checking out the branch’s first book.
University Librarian Mrs. Cynthia Ncube highlighted the branch’s role in expanding access to research and study facilities for the Harare community. Designed as a 'smart library', the new branch combines a physical book collection with remote access to global academic databases, e-books and digitised research materials making learning and research more accessible than ever.
For NUST alumni who remember relying on borrowed spaces to study, this branch represents a long-awaited home for academic collaboration, learning and research in the capital.
NUST Library extends its sincere appreciation to the University Council, Management, staff and all stakeholders whose collective efforts contributed to the successful establishment of this important facility.
