During the academic year, the Scratch Cafe @ Culinary Arts is generally open from Tuesday thru Friday The Culinary Arts Certificate program combines classroom theory with hands-on training as you rotate through two-week blocks in a commercial-grade kitchen. In addition to our programs, our students run a number of retail and service businesses on campus, including the Scratch Café, Accolades Dining Room and the retail meat store.

After a summer of bake sales (and a lot of sold-out baking), we’re getting ready to reopen Scratch Café for the fall semester.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 15, we’ll be back with breakfast, lunch and plenty of fresh baking from our Culinary Arts students.

Tuesday to Friday
8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Breakfast
8 – 9:30 a.m.

Lunch
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Meat cutting might be one of the more forgotten trades, but it’s an important one.

There’s a lot of skill behind knowing how to break down meat properly, understand different cuts and make the most of the product you’re working with.

It’s also one of those skills that’s hard to fully appreciate until you see someone who knows what they’re doing.

Last one for the summer! 🍰🍪

Today is our final bulk bake sale before the fall semester, and our students have put together quite the menu to finish things off.

There are lots of whole cakes and cheesecakes today, along with cookies, muffins, breads and individual desserts. Swipe through to see everything available.

We’re open 12–3 p.m. in the foyer of the Culinary Arts Building.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for these sales over the past few months. Your support for our Culinary Arts students has been incredible.

One more summer bake sale! 🍪🥐

This Friday, Aug. 21 is our last summer bake sale (from 12pm - 3pm).

Thank you to everyone who stopped by this summer and supported our Culinary Arts students. We definitely weren’t expecting to sell out as often as we did!

And while the summer sales are wrapping up, the baking isn’t.

Scratch Café will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 15 and we’ll be back with breakfast, lunch and lots of fresh baking.

Tuesday to Friday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Breakfast8 – 9:30 a.m.

Lunch 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Wednesday’s menu is here! 🥐🍪

Baking Level 2 has another big lineup ready for today, with everything from challah, panettone and cinnamon bun focaccia to lamb curry hand pies, cream puffs, cookies and plenty more.

We’re open today from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. in the foyer of the Culinary Arts Building. As always, come early if there’s something you really want.

A quick schedule update: We won’t be open this Friday. Next week, our only bake sale will be Friday, Aug. 21.
