Happy Monday! After a spooky weekend, we are back in class.

30/10/2026

When we go after Halloween, we go! We had tasks, decorations, snacks, and costumes throughout the day. Both students and staff joined the celebration and fun. Happy Halloween to all who celebrate.

For students pursuing a Hospitality degree in Switzerland, participating in hospitality and tourism events is a valuable opportunity to connect theory with real-world experience. These events allow students to gain industry knowledge, discover new trends, build professional networks, and learn directly from industry experts.

Just as importantly, they encourage students to step out of their comfort zones, communicate with new people, and develop the confidence and interpersonal skills essential for a successful career in hospitality.

👏 Our SEC students put these skills into practice by conducting questionnaires with fair participants as part of their academic project. This hands-on experience allowed them to engage with professionals and visitors, collect valuable insights, and apply their academic learning in a real-world setting.

Because in hospitality, learning is not just about what happens in the classroom — it is about the people we meet, the experiences we gain, and the connections we build!

p.s. Today, classes are as usual, but we are celebrating Halloween!!!

While we are preparing for the Career field trip tomorrow, classes are running as usual!

26/10/2026

Our Monday started as usual - with classes, projects and workshops. But we decided to celebrate this week's upcoming events! Especially our field trip to the ZAGG fair in Luzern- one of the biggest Tourism and Hospitality fairs in Central Switzerland. Groups are formed, and we are looking forward to sharing moments from the trip.

This week we also have a Halloween celebration that is managed by a team of students! But about everything, one day at a time.

We wish you a nice afternoon!

23/10/2026

Our Friday was full of German, but on a fun side - full of pumpkins! Yes, we started our marathon of events for October and till the end of Year! Today was fun and a success.

At SEC, we are proud to have colleagues who are actively involved in integration in Switzerland and work closely with local programmes and initiatives to help build stronger, more connected communities.

For international students, moving to a new country is an exciting opportunity, but it also comes with responsibilities. Understanding and respecting Swiss regulations, visa requirements, and local rules is essential for a successful and positive experience.

We believe that integration starts with knowledge, guidance, and a willingness to engage with the local community.

Congratulations and a speech for the newcomers, together with Stadt Luzern, Ms Lina (Communication and Brand Development Director).
