UH-GAF was delighted to welcome school counsellors and principals from international and national schools representing various educational systems (IGCSE, American, and Thanaweya Amma) for an exclusive tour of our main campus at the University of Hertfordshire, UK.

During the visit, representatives explored the campus facilities, laboratories, student life, and academic environment. They also attended sessions led by UK delegates, gaining deeper insight into the curriculum and the overall educational experience.

The visit was designed to reassure partner schools that the curriculum delivered at UH-GAF is fully aligned with the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and that students graduate with a degree awarded directly by UH-UK. This initiative reflects UH-GAF’s unwavering commitment to transparency, academic excellence, and providing students with a truly international educational journey.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the school counsellors and principals who participated. We especially thank them for making time in their busy schedules to attend—an effort that was critical to the success of this visit. Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering (MEM) students from the School of Engineering and Computer Science visited the Iskraemeco factory by Elsewedy Electric to explore advanced smart energy and utility technologies.

Throughout the visit, students explored Iskraemeco’s innovative technologies in smart electricity, water, and gas metering systems, in addition to PCB design and manufacturing processes, cable technologies, networking systems, and electric vehicle charging solutions. They also gained insight into how smart digital platforms and connected technologies are shaping the future of sustainable industries and intelligent utility management.

This valuable experience enhanced the students’ exposure to smart technologies, industrial networking applications, and modern engineering practices within intelligent industrial systems.

As part of the UH School of Engineering and Computer Science’s commitment to exceptional hands-on learning, the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Programme Level 4 students visited the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI).

During the visit, students explored state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and attended a comprehensive demonstration of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication processes. They also gained valuable insights into NTI’s initiatives, diplomas, and specialized training programs that support their development as professional engineers in the future.

This experience aligns with the EEE programme’s learning objectives by enhancing students’ practical, hands-on skills in both circuit design and the implementation of electronic circuits.
