Focus on the 2025 campaign at Tulul 'Anabta
Tulul 'Anabta is a major site for understanding urbanization in the southern Levant during the 3rd millennium. The primary objective of the research mission conducted in 2025 was to analyze the artifacts recovered during the 2021–2023 excavation campaigns from a chronological, functional, and socioeconomic perspective.
The studies thus focused on ceramic artifacts, stone tools and large stone tools (grinding stones), faunal remains, environmental artifacts, and, finally, architectural analysis aimed at reconstructing the structures.
The mission was conducted by our colleague Blandine Besnard (Eveha International) and Ghassan Nagagreh (Dar al-Kalima University in Bethlehem).
