Over the weekend, they enjoyed a fantastic tour of agricultural, historical and cultural sites across Tipperary, Cork, Clare and Limerick - with plenty of Irish sunshine ☀ along the way.

We’re delighted to have them with us and hope they enjoy their time in Ireland.

Patrick Folan, a graduate of our MA in Irish Regional History

"I would highly recommend the MA in Irish Regional History at Carlow College. I work in IT in Banking and the Masters was a brilliant reintroduction to academia and to the study of History. I have always had a deep interest in history, and the course taught me how to study and research history, how to identify and interrogate primary and secondary sources, and how to present and share the outcome of the research.

The class sizes were small and we built up a great class rapport, and we also had access to a great team of lecturers who were all professional historians and were experts in their fields, and they shared their passion for history with us.

I live in South Dublin and the one evening class a week onsite was easily accessible as it was only an hour’s drive to the campus.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course, if you are looking for a part time Masters in History then this is the course you should choose!"

Lorcan took some poetry classes whilst in Carlow College, and we are so proud to see his work published. His poems are ‘The Peanut Butter Jar’ and ‘The Hundred Steps of Altamont Gardens’.

Well done, Lorcan, a great achievement.
