Calling All Mayo Communities

Mayo Communities Caring for the Environment

Taking place on Friday 18th September this event will be a gathering of community groups and supporting organisations from across Mayo, to share experiences, build connections and explore how we can address some of the challenges facing our natural environment.

The day will provide an opportunity to hear the voices behind a broad range of locally led projects and connect with agencies working within the environmental sector. The afternoon will also include a workshop facilitated by ATU Mayo.

📢 Grants Available for Climate Action Week 2026!

Mayo County Council is inviting local community and voluntary groups to apply for funding to host events during National Climate Action Week (Oct 12–18, 2026).

💶 Grants of up to €500 per group are available.
🌱 Events must be free, inclusive, and open to the public, with a focus on raising awareness and inspiring climate action.

Examples include: workshops, tree planting, sustainable food events, creative arts, repair & share, movie screenings, and more!
