We were delighted to have Mary Daly NCCA and Lorraine Farrell from Better Start to facilitate the new Aistear training workshop here at FET college Morrisons island campus. Our staff and colleagues from Cork ETBs are thrilled to be at forefront of this training. We had such inspiring and insightful discussions on the Aistear 2024 curriculum and exciting new ways of engaging the curriculum with our Early Years students for this year.

Congratulations to Ali O’Riordan who got a place in UCC to study Applied Psychology. Ali had these kind words to share about her experience here on our campus:

Choosing to return to education was very daunting. I previously believed that gaining a place in Applied Psychology at UCC was completely unachievable for me. However, through attending the Applied Psychology (with Social Studies) Level 5 course at Morrisons Island Campus, I was provided with many accessible and free resources which helped me to develop the knowledge and skills needed to secure a place in UCC.

I am confident that the knowledge and experience I gained there will continue to benefit me throughout my degree. I always felt supported by the teachers and staff, whose guidance and encouragement made a significant difference to my journey.

Overall, I found the entire experience to be extremely beneficial and would highly recommend Morrisons Island Campus to anyone considering returning to education.
