The role of the Arts Office is to work with students and staff in developing and supporting arts related projects and to promote arts activities in all campuses. MTU offers students
a wonderful opportunity to engage with and develop their talents, meet new people and get involved in the arts. Students have an opportunity to develop their interests in the arts by joining arts related societies such as dance, drama, Circus to name a few or they can get involved in the various arts activities organised throughout the year by the Arts Office. MTU recognizes that, in addition to their academic development, the arts should be an integral part of life for students and staff and has invested significant funds to develop dedicated professional Performance Theatres and Exhibition Spaces on and off campus. The role of the Arts Office is to work with students and staff to develop and support arts related projects, and promote arts activities happening on all MTU campuses in Cork and Kerry. Based in the MTU Cork Bishopstown campus, the Arts Office aims to develop and nurture the arts as a space were students, staff, graduates and external visitors can engage, think and be challenged by different forms outside of their normal studies, work or daily activity. Students have an opportunity to develop, or continue their interests within the arts by joining arts related societies such as dance, drama, music, photography, musical, anime to name a few, or they can engage with the various arts activities organised throughout the year by the Arts Office. MTU recognises that in addition to their academic development, the arts are an integral part of life for students and staff, and has invested significant funds to develop dedicated professional performance theatres and exhibition spaces, that are accessible to all.
