BIG Congratulations to 2026 Graduates Susannah Williams & Patrick Zaidan on being Shortlisted for this Year's Sigma Talent Awards for Most Promising Photography Graduates at Photo Museum Ireland. In good company with BA & MA Graduates from programmes across the island. REALLY WELL DONE from all of us here!
"The Sigma Talent Artist Awards are designed to support artists at a pivotal stage in the development of their practice. Over the course of the programme, selected artists receive sustained curatorial guidance from Photo Museum Ireland’s team and invited guest mentors, alongside practical resources and opportunities to develop ambitious new work.

Following the shortlist stage, three artists will be selected for the 2026–27 programme. Each will receive a €2,000 development bursary and exclusive access to professional-grade Sigma equipment, supporting the production and development of their work throughout the residency.

The programme builds on Photo Museum Ireland’s long-standing commitment to emerging photographic practice and has been strengthened through our partnership with Sigma, bringing additional resources and professional support directly to artists.

The three recipients of the Sigma Talent Artist Awards 2026–27 will be announced later this year."

The final post of the academic year here at .photography It's been another incredible year, culminating in our Graduate Exhibition earlier this month. Thank you to our staff, students, friends and collaborators for contributing, participating & offering many dig-outs over the last 9 months. We have the most special course in this little corner of Crumlin. So, thank Youz:

That's it for our Graduate Exhibition 2026 and the end of the line for our 2nd Years. This is always the strangest moment - after all the energy, the creativity, the culture of work that was generated in this room over the last two years has been emptied out and the space is stripped of its personality. You all have been exceptional - so professional, so hard working, such inspiring people to work with and be around. You have all developed your own individual professional and creative identities with us over the last two years and the final products of your labour were just incredibly admirable - the exhibition, the websites, your books, your prints, your Portfolios. Its been a pleasure to watch your evolution as practitioners. Aaron, Patrick, Pat, Stephan, Jadwiga, Marta, Fintan, Paul, Svetlana, Susanna, Pawel - be proud! We will miss you here.
