President Teresa O’Doherty and fellow leadership team members were delighted to welcome Minister Jack Chambers, Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, and local TD, Tom Brabazon TD to MIE!

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase MIE’s pivotal role and future vision in shaping the future of education through excellence in Initial Teacher Education, postgraduate study, further education, educational research and inclusive partnerships across the education sector.

Marking a 15th Viscount Charlemont ancestry visit to MIE!

Lord and Lady Charlemont, John and Nadea Caulfeild, recently visited our campus to explore the legacy of James Caulfeild, 1st Earl of Charlemont. The 15th Viscount Charlemont toured our historic grounds, artefacts from the MIE collection, and enjoyed a performance of Planxty Lord Charlemont, composed by former MIE Artist in Residence

MIE extends its sincere thanks to Laura Boyne for her dedicated leadership as President of , making a lasting contribution to the student experience.

As Laura takes up her new role as Access & Disability Liaison Officer, we are delighted to welcome Amy Martin, a recent graduate of MIE’s B.Sc. in Education Studies, as the new Students’ Union President.
