ACTING FOR CAMERA: ADULTS SUMMER COURSE 🎬

In this course you will work with experienced and inspirational teachers to learn the craft of acting for camera. During the six weeks, you will concentrate on putting together the basic techniques required to deliver effective performances on screen 🎭

This course is ideally for students who have already learned core acting techniques either in GSA Beginners, or an equivalent course. During the classes, you will explore the similarities and differences between acting for stage and screen acting. This course focuses on the development of physical, vocal and emotional techniques required for film 🎬

Join us for this year’s Gaiety School of Acting showcase running from 23rd to 27th June, celebrating the extraordinary talent and creativity of our students across a week of exciting performances ✨

Thursday 25th June will feature our special Spotlight Gala performance as we celebrate 40 years of the Gaiety School of Acting. The evening will include a pre show reception beginning at 6pm, with proceeds from the event supporting the Empowering New Voices Fund, helping to create opportunities for the next generation of artists and performers 🎭

We look forward to welcoming audiences for a memorable week of theatre, storytelling and celebration.

Casting and Audition Technique Summer Camp 🎭

Our summer for ages 16-19 years old ✨ Auditions do not have to feel mysterious. This camp focuses on the practical side of auditioning for stage and screen, working with monologues, scenes, and self-tapes. Students learn how to prepare material, take direction, and present themselves with clarity and confidence in a supportive, straightforward environment 🎭
