Limerick School of Art & Design, TUS is a world renowned art and design centre. The programmes are offered at Honours Degree (Level 8).

LSAD has an award-winning reputation in Design, Fine Art & Education, Digital Arts & Media, Research and Enterprise, Animation, Graphics, Fashion, Film,, Game Art We also run a taught masters in Art and Design: Social Practice and the Creative Environment, an MA in Art and Design Teaching, a higher diploma in Teacher Education and research postgraduate programmes (in all 6 disciplines in art and design) up to Masters (Level 9) and PhD (Level 10).

The Semester 2 Jeans Reconstruction Project takes students through the complete fashion design and production pipeline, from initial research and development to the finished garment.

Students explore creative approaches to innovative jeans products before developing patterns, cutting and constructing their designs, and producing industry-ready detailed tech packs that communicate the final look.

This project brings together creative design, pattern cutting, garment construction, and technical development, demonstrating the full journey from an initial idea to a finished, hanger-ready product.

Congratulations to LSAD Fine Art graduate Aoife Dunne one of the 12 recent graduates who have been shortlisted for this year's prestigious RDS Visual Art Awards.
A multidisciplinary artist,based between Laois and Limerick. Her practice spans sculpture, installation, publication, drawing, cartography, walking, photography and sound all of which are deployed to explore the relationships between the body, the self and the lived environment. The practice is also informed by embodied and practice-based research, including research into crip theory, map-making and access to public space.

Upcoming exhibition in the LSAD Gallery Clare Street. The Pluriversity: Worldbuilding Tomorrow’s University opens on Saturday 7 November, 6pm. All are welcome.

The Pluriversity is a speculative design project by Studio Saol that asks what kind of university our communities and landscapes will need in the decades ahead. It’s a work of strategic worldbuilding, imagining the Shannon bioregion in 2070: a network of living systems labs where people learn by regenerating the place they live.

After travelling to the Danish and Dutch Design Weeks in Copenhagen and Eindhoven, the exhibition comes home to Limerick for Irish Design Week. The opening is an invitation to walk through the exhibition, share your perspectives and imagine together what tomorrow’s university might become.

Come along for a glass of w**e and be among the first to see it. All welcome, no booking needed.

LSAD graduate Kayla Gorman features in the media after the winner of the TV show Love Island Julia Majchrzak wore one of her creations during an appearance on The Six O’clock Show. Kayla graduated with a BA in Fashion Design with Collection Design and already has work featured on the runway at Ireland Fashion Week 2026.

Congratulations to LSAD fine art graduate to KODJO (Isac) Kossivi who has been selected for the RDS Visual Art Awards 2026. Kossivi works across sculpture, performance and mask making in a socially engaged practice which explores immigrant identity, cultural heritage, community, care and belonging. He is among 12 emerging artists selected for the inaugural exhibition at Gallery at RDS which opens on Friday, November 6, and runs until Saturday, January 23, 2027.

We recently welcomed a delegation from NHL Stenden to the LSAD campus in Clare St. Marc Ottos and his team were also visited the TUS campus in Athlone.

Awardees of the 2025 LSAD - Limerick Civic Trust Award Samantha Comerford and Toraigh Holland are exhibiting in the Peoples Museum of Limerick coach House until Thursday, 22nd of October.
All temporary exhibitions running at the People's Museum of Limerick are free for the public to enjoy.
