Two Minutes withโ€ฆ.. Padraig Condon.
We meet so many people from different and interesting backgrounds here at NMCI Training Services. We recently chatted with Padraig Condon, Manager of Marine Operations with Windstar Cruises, who outlined what STCW courses he was refreshing and why he was happy to be back at the NMCI.
Thanks for chatting Padraig and being part of our โ€˜2 minutes withโ€ฆ.โ€™ series!

It was a pleasure to welcome delegates from the School of Biological Earth and Environmental Sciences at University College Cork to NMCI Training Services today.
The group completed our Fixed Wing Dunker Training, gaining valuable practical experience in emergency escape procedures following a simulated aircraft ditching scenario.
One of the most rewarding aspects of delivering this training was seeing participants fully engage with the exercises, building confidence while clearly enjoying the experience. There were plenty of smiles throughout the day, demonstrating that effective safety training can also be highly engaging.
Thank you to the group for their enthusiasm and participation. We look forward to welcoming you back to NMCI again in the future.

A great day on the water for today's Updated Training in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats delegates.
While the group were busy refreshing their skills, our resident NMCI seal colony took up their usual positions on the slipway, providing quality control and keeping a close watch on all activities!

This week NMCI Training Services are delivering a 5 day Basic Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations course for our National Maritime College of Ireland - NMCI students with Fire Fighting Instructor David Dilworth.
Pictured below is an example of Precision Under Pressure - the team advances on a Class C fl**ge fire. Using coordinated water streams to deflect heat and flame away from the access point. This controlled approach creates a protected corridor for the team leader to safely reach and isolate the valve, cutting off the gas supply at the source and bringing the incident under control through disciplined teamwork, communication, and tactical firefighting principles. Well done to all.
