NMCI Training Services is transitioning the certification of STCW courses to the Seafarers Information System (SIS).
This is a mandatory requirement of the Marine Surveyors Office.
As a result of this transition, STCW certificates will be issued through SIS following the successful completion of training.
Learner Registration Requirements
To register for any STCW course, learners must have a Seafarers ID and upload a photograph and signature to the SIS.
This registration only needs to be completed once.
Once your details are registered on SIS, they will apply to all subsequent STCW courses.
Please complete your SIS registration using the following link:

Yesterdayโ€™s Personal Survival Techniques participants took to our environmental pool to learn essential survival skills, including entering the water safely from a height, righting an inverted liferaft, swimming in a lifejacket, keeping afloat and boarding a survival craft from the water.
The highlight is always the abandon ship scenario, where learners bring together the dayโ€™s training under realistic storm conditions, with wind, waves and rain adding to the experience. Instructor Jason, and safety divers, Louise and Finbarr, kept a watchful eye on everyone throughout the exercises.
For video footage from the training, visit the NMCI Training Services Instagram account and watch our latest Reel.

We're having a great day of learning and upskilling at NMCI Training Services during our Personal Survival Techniques (PST) course.
We have a fantastic mix of learners joining us, including those taking their first steps into the maritime industry, others returning after a career break, researchers, renewable energy professionals, port personnel and even two siblings training together.
It's always great to see people from such varied backgrounds coming together to develop essential practical sea survival skills in NMCIโ€™s specialist training facilities.
A very enjoyable day so far with a great group, all under the watchful eye of NMCI Training Services instructor Jason Ansbro.
