Message from Ms.Louise Phelan - Principal

Today I was truly touched by the lovely farewell celebration in Nagle CC as I prepare to take up my next opportunity in CETB as Principal of Coláiste an Chraoibhín in Fermoy.

Thank you to the staff, students, parents and wider school community for the support, kindness and friendship over the years. Today’s speeches, food and warm send-off meant so much to me.

Congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Nicholas O’Keeffe as he steps into the role of Principal at Nagle CC in the coming weeks.

I wish the students every success in their upcoming exams, and continued growth and success to everyone at Nagle CC in the years ahead.

Special thanks to LC student Pádraig for the beautiful piece of art presented to Ms.Phelan - which was very poignant and meant so much.

Our 3rd year Young Social Innovators class made a fantastic tactile book that can be used as an interactive educational tool for Children with Visual Impairment. The class were delighted to present their book to Fiona Murphy from Child Vision during her recent visit. We are very proud of the students who are truly leading in social innovation with such an inclusive and thoughtful project. Well done to all.

Well done to our 3rd year students who received their JCSP profile awards today recognising success in key learning statements; in all subject areas; across the three years of Junior Cycle. The students also participated in a wide range of JCSP literacy, numeracy and wellbeing related initiatives over the three years. Our students have been busy preparing for their Junior Cycle exams in June and we wish them every success. Thanks to JCSP coordinator Ms.McLaughlin and Year Head Ms.Fitzgerald for facilitating.
