🇩🇪 BSc (Hons) in General Nursing students and lecturers from our St Angela’s campus recently participated in an exciting Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
Lecturers Dr Dympna Walsh Gallagher and Siobhán O’Dowd accompanied Year 3 nursing students as they collaborated with university partners from Portugal, Czechia, Belgium, Germany and the USA on the programme, “Be the Change – Advancing Urban Sustainability and Health in Metropolitan Regions" 🌎
Throughout the week, participants engaged in lectures and workshops, visited a large urban garden, took part in a one-and-a-half-day disaster planning workshop, and enjoyed a range of cultural experiences and local cuisine. The programme provided valuable insights into urban sustainability and its impact on health and wellbeing 👏
As part of the programme, Siobhán O’Dowd delivered a lecture on Health-Led Approaches to Homelessness, sharing expertise and encouraging international discussion on this important topic 🤩
It was a fantastic educational experience, offering students the opportunity to broaden their perspectives, develop international connections and gain a deeper understanding of global health challenges 🎉
