💚❤️ Huge congratulations to the Mayo GAA Senior Football Team and Management on being crowned the 2026 All-Ireland Senior Football Champions! 🏆

An incredible achievement, ending 75 years of waiting and creating a moment that will live long in the hearts of Mayo supporters everywhere 💫

We are especially proud to see so many ATU students and graduates play their part in this historic success, including manager Andy Moran and goalkeeper Jack Livingstone.

More than two decades ago, we watched Andy, Paul Durcan, Keith Higgins and others lift Sigerson Cups while studying in Sligo (and apologies for the throwback photo in the carousel, Andy 😄). To now see them help guide Mayo to All-Ireland glory is a truly proud moment for the entire ATU community 🎉

Congratulations to everyone involved on an unforgettable achievement 💚❤️

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part– we hope to see many of you back at ATU in the years ahead! 👏

Students from the US, Canada, England and Ireland joined lecturer Sam Moore on a visit to the Caves of Keash as part of the field study tour for ATU's Certificate in Introduction to Irish Archaeology (Level 6).

Following two online modules introducing Ireland's archaeology from the Late Upper Palaeolithic to the Late Medieval period, participants spend 10 days in the northwest of Ireland exploring some of the country's most important archaeological sites and landscapes.

The guided field study tour gives students the opportunity to experience Ireland's archaeology first-hand, connecting their online learning with the places, monuments and landscapes that have shaped Ireland's past.

🎉ATU welcomed nearly 140 ExWell Medical participants to its Sligo campus to mark a decade of the Exercise for Wellness programme.

The programme began at the Knocknarea Arena in 2016 through a partnership between ATU, Sligo University Hospital Physiotherapy Department and ExWell Medical. It now supports more than 400 participants across Sligo town and Collooney.

A huge thank you to ExWell Medical CEO and Co-founder Noel McCaffrey, Aodhaghán O'Deasmhunaigh, our ExWell instructors (many of whom are ATU graduates), and a special shout-out to Dr Joanne Regan for her key role in developing and sustaining this collaboration.

As we look ahead to the next 10 years, we’re excited to see the initiative continue to grow across the west of Ireland.
