The Law Society has opened registration for its 2026 Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) and the theme for this year's MOOC is Social Media, AI and the Law.

The course will offer an overview of recent advancements, delving into issues surrounding liability, regulation, privacy and data protection, social media bans, cybercrime, and eCommerce. It will also explore the considerable impact on our work environment and daily lives, including digital manipulation and surveillance.

Start date: Tuesday, 9 June
Duration: Content delivered online over 5 weeks – available online and on demand until the end of July

'Healthcare Careers in Ireland 2026' EURES - Online Job Day, 4th June

EURES Ireland in the Department of Social Protection is hosting Healthcare Careers in Ireland 2026 | EURES - Online European Job Days on 4th of June.

Over 30 employers from across Ireland will participate, including: HSE, CareChoice Group Ireland, Comfort Keepers Ireland, Irish HomeCare, Sonas Nursing Home Group, CPL Healthcare, Bloomfield Hospital, Bartra Healthcare, among others.

There are over 300 job vacancies nationwide available at this event, including roles such as Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Social Care Workers, Doctors, Staff Nurses (mental health), Speech and Language Therapists. Jobseekers can now register and apply for the roles advertised for this event. Online interviews with employers will commence on the 4th of June.

Some Healthcare Assistants roles require qualifications (QQI Level 5 equivalent healthcare course) but many do not and employers will provide full training.

If selected, you will join Ireland’s leading full-time, in-person start-up incubator for recent graduates and start working from an office surrounded by supportive start-ups at various stages of their journey.

Open to graduates from all disciplines and all third-level institutions in Ireland, IGNITE helps you turn an idea into a real company with expert support, dedicated resources, and no equity taken.

Participants receive a programme valued at €20,000, including a cash stipend to help you kickstart your business, one-to-one coaching, tailored mentorship, desk space at UCC, and support with grants, investors, IP, pitching, strategy and more.

IGNITE alumni include Trustap LegitFit, Vconnecta Ltd, Zirkulu and AssistiV Ireland companies that started with an idea and grew into something more.
