Season 3 of the Vilnius University Business School’s Entrepreneurship Clinic is here! 🚀

20 mentors. Six areas of expertise. Whether you’re exploring a business idea or looking to tackle real entrepreneurial challenges, there’s a mentor for it.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, VU BS’ Entrepreneurship Clinic delivered around 180 business mentoring consultations, and 205 members of the VU BS community registered on Mentorloop.💡

This season brings together 10 VU BS alumni and 10 lecturers, with experience across:

Last week, VU Business School Director Dr. Birute Miskiniene took the stage at the AMBA & BGA Accreditation Conference 2026 in 🇵🇹 Lisbon, hosted by Andrew Main Wilson, CEO of AMBA & BGA. 🚀

In her presentation, “The Accreditation Journey with AMBA & BGA,” she shared VU Business School’s experience of becoming the first business school in Lithuania to receive AMBA accreditation 🎓 — offering insights into the process and the value of international quality recognition.

A special honour for VU Business School: welcoming Professor Costas Fountas, President of the CERN Council! 🎓

On October 20, Professor Fountas joined the Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University community at VU Business School for a public lecture, “State-of-the-Art Technology at CERN and Its Role in the EU Industry”.

At CERN, the search for answers about the Universe 🌌 pushes the boundaries of engineering, computing and innovation. Professor Fountas explored how this work drives breakthroughs 🔬 and creates new opportunities for European industry.

As Lithuania works towards becoming a full member 🤝 of CERN, Professor Fountas’s visit held special meaning for our community. Saulėtekis was a fitting setting: expertise across science, engineering, communication and business comes together here.

Prof. Dr. Saulė Mačiukaitė-Žvinienė reminded students that knowledge grows when different fields meet. She encouraged them to draw on the expertise around them and turn their ideas 💡 into action.

That same spirit is reflected in VU Business School’s DeepTech Entrepreneurship master’s programme, powered by CERN, which combines entrepreneurial thinking with the development of deep-tech innovations.

Investing in talent means investing in Lithuania’s innovation future.🚀

For the third year in a row, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania (Ekonomikos ir inovacijų ministerija) is investing in future innovators by funding students of the DeepTech Entrepreneurship Master’s programme at Vilnius University Business School.

Last week, seven of our students signed documents to receive full tuition funding worth a total of €49,300. With this year's recipients, the Ministry has now supported the studies of 21 students over three years.💡

Developed in collaboration with CERN, scientists and representatives of innovative businesses, our DeepTech Entrepreneurship programme equips students with the knowledge and skills to bridge the gap between scientific discoveries and commercial opportunities — turning advanced technologies into viable businesses and solutions with real-world impact.

The programme also offers students opportunities to explore cutting-edge research and experiments at CERN in Switzerland, connecting their studies with the forefront of scientific innovation.

A sincere thank you to the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and Minister Edvinas Grikšas for their continued trust and investment in our students. Supporting ambitious talent today helps create the innovations, businesses, and solutions of tomorrow.💜

A little taste of life at . 🚀

As part of "Student for a Day" event, we welcomed high-school students to VU Business School for a special session called “Business Simulation: Entrepreneur for a Day”, hosted by our Study Coordinator Aistė Prialgauskaitė.

Their mission? 💡 Create a business idea that could help people live healthier lives.

Working in teams, students stepped into the world of entrepreneurship: choosing a team leader, dividing responsibilities, working within a starting budget, identifying their target audience and pitching their business concept.

And let us tell you… there were some brilliant ideas! 🤫 We’ll keep them under wraps for now — who knows, we might see some of them become real businesses one day! 😉

Experiences like this show that entrepreneurship starts with curiosity, teamwork and the courage to turn an idea into something more.

At Startup Fair 2026, Akvile Alauskaite, Head of the Entrepreneurship Clinic at VU Business School, joined the panel discussion “Start Young, Build Big: How Early Talent Becomes Founder Ambition” to explore how young talent can turn into entrepreneurial ambition — and how universities, mentors, and businesses can help make it happen. 🚀

💬 “It’s not enough to tell a young person to be brave and build. We need to create an environment where they can experiment, tackle real challenges, receive mentorship, work with businesses and not be afraid of imperfect first attempts,” says Akvilė.
