🎓 Day 5 – The Grand Finale of the Q-Helix International Health School 2026!

After an inspiring week of learning, connection and international exchange, we reached the final day of our International Summer School — themed "Neurolaw. Final Integration & Closing."

🧠 The day combined interactive discussion with rigorous Neurolaw scholarship, exploring the powerful intersection of neuroscience, law, ethics, AI and democratic society, with distinguished academics and professionals:

🔹 Prof. Paweł Urgacz, PhD, Deputy Dean for Internationalization, WSB University – opened with an interactive session on how students should approach knowledge, technology, collaboration, success and failure
🔹 Prof. Manuela Tăbăraș, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Law, TMU – Free will vs. biological determinism; forensic expertise and neuroimaging
🔹 Dr. Ștefan E. Ionescu, Researcher, "Ferdinand I" Military Technical Academy – Ethical implications of using neurobiological data
🔹 Prof. Marieta Safta, PhD, Vice-President of the TMU Senate – Artificial Intelligence, Neurotechnologies and Democratic Sovereignty: Protecting Cognitive Freedom in Constitutional Democracies
🔹 Artin Sarchizian, Attorney-at-Law & PhD Student, TMU Doctoral School of Law – moderated the debate "Can neuroscience change the way we understand guilt?"

⚖️ Next came the knowledge integration segment, where students put a week's worth of learning to the test.

🏆 The programme then culminated in the Achievement Certificate Ceremony, complete with symbolic prizes.

🥂 Everything wrapped up in the best possible way: a festive closing lunch, bringing together students, professors and guests for one last celebration.

🏛️ Day 4 of the Q-Helix International Health School 2026 put the spotlight on Artificial Intelligence and its growing role in healthcare - exploring how AI is reshaping medical practice, professional development, and the future of medicine.

🎓 Interactive discussions and hands-on workshops brought together medicine, law and technology - covering AI in healthcare, prompt verification, the EU AI Act, and data anonymization.

💡 Applied Group Workshop - participants tackled prompt formulation, ways to verify AI-generated responses, and an interdisciplinary medicine-law-technology mini-exercise, coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Geanina Banu, PhD.

🩺 Medical Applications of AI/ML - Andrei Istudor (Neolook Solutions BV & University of Groningen, the Netherlands) showcased AI and Machine Learning solutions already in development and deployed in the medical field, giving participants a front-row look at how emerging technology is moving from research into real-world healthcare.
🎹 He also delighted the audience with a surprise piano performance - a creative, memorable touch to close out his session.

🔒 AI-powered Anonymization of Medical Records - Assoc. Prof. Daniela Joița, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics, showed how AI can anonymize medical data while keeping patient privacy front and center.

✨ We were also delighted to welcome special guest Vlad Ionescu, Software Engineer at Google, who brought a fresh perspective on innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the future of AI in data management - the perfect note to close the academic programme.

✨ Day 2 of the Q-Helix International Health School 2026!

🩺 Today’s programme brought together two essential areas of health and emergency response.

The day began with a theoretical CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) module, covering the essential steps of emergency response: recognising cardiac arrest, calling for help and activating the emergency system, performing effective chest compressions and rescue breaths, using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), as well as specific considerations for adults and adolescents.

The session was led by Assoc. Prof. Cosmin Moldovan, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at TMU, together with Kara Maria Ingrid Neacșu, TMU student and President of the University Association for Medicine and General Nursing.

🧠 The programme continued with “Psychological First Aid in Stress and Crisis”, led by Assoc. Prof. Ioana Manea, PhD, Director of TMU’s Career Counselling and Guidance Centre. The session focused on understanding psychological responses to stress and crisis and explored ways of providing effective emotional and psychological support in challenging situations.

🌍 From life-saving knowledge to psychological support, Day 2 offered participants valuable insights, practical perspectives and another opportunity to learn, exchange ideas and connect in an international environment.
