Two positions for Summer Internship (ETTI students) at Orange 5G Lab Cluj-Napoca @ AIRi (Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, to be launched soon)

POSITION 1: B5G/6G INTEGRATED DETECTION AND COMMUNICATIONS (ISAC)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Problem-solving skills; Knowledge of radio propagation/antennas; Knowledge of networking/network architectures; Programming skills
TECHNOLOGIES AND CONCEPTS:
5G and IoT networks (architectures, practical implementations in 5G Lab,
equipment); Applications for 5G/IoT networks; Virtualization technologies; Radar system; AI/ML systems for processing radio data for sensing purposes
FIELD OF THESIS:
Implementation/ Simulation of a B5G System for Detecting Unconnected Objects

POSITION 2: 5G NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORKS (NTN)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Problem-solving skills; Knowledge of radio propagation/antennas; Knowledge of networking/network architectures; Programming skills
TECHNOLOGIES AND CONCEPTS:
5G and IoT networks (architectures, practical implementations in 5G Lab,
equipment); Applications for 5G and IoT networks; Virtualization technologies; LEO/MEO/GEO satellite systems; Direct to Device cellular-satellite system (D2D); NB-IoT NTN Standard; Simulation System for 5G NTN
FIELD of THESIS:
Implementation/ simulation of a 5G NTN system (including D2D) for data transmission via satellite backhaul.
