[Summer Program] August 12, 2026

🎉 We’re excited to welcome Japanese university students to Taiwan for our Summer Program!

On 08/12, students visited the TSMC Innovation Museum 🏛️ to explore chip design 💻🔬 and learn more about Taiwan’s semiconductor industry 💡.

Next stop: the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA) 🛰️, where they experienced satellite operation simulations and learned about Taiwan’s space exploration efforts 🌌✨.

【OIA Events Recap: January to June 2026】
As we reflect on the first half of 2026, we’re grateful for the unforgettable moments we’ve shared with our international community. From cultural celebrations and interactive workshops to outdoor adventures and social gatherings, every event brought people together through learning, friendship, and shared experiences. These six months have been filled with laughter, new connections, and meaningful memories that showcase the diversity and vibrant spirit of our community. We look forward to creating more wonderful moments together in the second half of the year.

[Cultural Event] Inbound Internship Cultural Trip_July 18th, 2026

Our Inbound Internship Cultural Trip was a wonderful and memorable experience! 🎉✨

In the morning, students gathered to share their internship experiences in Taiwan 🌏💼, exchanging stories and learning from one another. In the afternoon, we visited the Kuo Yuan Ye Museum in Yangmei 🏭🍍, explored Taiwan’s pastry culture, and enjoyed a fun DIY pineapple cake workshop.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this trip so special! We look forward to seeing you at our next event. 🙌🏻

The Hsinchu City Government has announced the cancellation of work and classes in Hsinchu City area starting at 12:00 PM today (June 26) due to torrential rain. Stay safe!

🚨 【重要公告：新竹市今天下午12:00起停止上班、停止上課】 🚨

各位市民朋友大家好：

因應今日上午強降雨，新竹市東區6小時累積雨量已超過170毫米，時雨量更突破45毫米，雨勢已超出城市時雨量負荷，導致市內多處道路、住宅陸續傳出災情。

考量新竹地區為共同生活圈，新竹縣轄區此次降雨強度更高、災情也較為嚴峻。市府綜合評估整體交通、通勤及市民安全需求，今天下午12:00起，新竹市停止上班、停止上課。期盼藉此降低強降雨期間的外出風險，讓市民朋友安心。

目前市府持續針對市民通報案件逐案追蹤，相關單位也全力投入積水排除與環境巡查，希望儘快恢復道路通行。請大家下班下課路段務必提高警覺、減速慢行！

⚠️ 市民安全與防汛須知 ⚠️
行車減速慢行：出門請特別留意路況，行經低窪積水區域請繞道行駛。
配合地下道管制：行經地下道或低窪路段，若遇積水、柵欄放下，請務必配合管制，切勿強行通過！
沙包與擋板借用：低窪地區住戶如有需求，可立即至東區、北區、香山區公所領取沙包或借用防水擋板。

Memories made. Friendships strengthened. Goals achieved. 🐲💙 The NYCU Dragon Riders had an incredible experience competing in this year's dragon boat race at Nanliao Fishing Port. Coming from different countries and cultures, we came together with one shared goal: to paddle as one team. 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️ Thank you to all the supporters and friends who made this journey so meaningful. We leave this year's race with smiles, pride, and memories we'll carry for years to come. ✨
