🌿🚲 [Conversation Circle] Cultural Trip to Sanyi, Miaoli 🇹🇼

On May 8, our international students joined a wonderful cultural trip to Sanyi, Miaoli! ✨

The day began with a traditional Hakka Lei Cha DIY experience at Shihliufen Cultural Tea House 🍵
Students learned how to grind tea leaves, nuts, and grains together while experiencing Taiwan’s unique Hakka culture.

After lunch and free time near the historic Shengxing Railway Station 🚂, everyone enjoyed the famous Old Mountain Line Rail Bike activity through the beautiful mountain scenery of Miaoli 🌳💨

Thank you to all the students who joined us and made the trip full of laughter, cultural exchange, and unforgettable memories 💛

[English Teaching Program] April 27, 2026, at Fuli Junior High School

We brought eight international students from 🇸🇪 Sweden, 🇵🇱 Poland, 🇨🇿 Czech Republic, 🇩🇰 Denmark, and 🇪🇸 Spain to participate in the “Bring the World into the Classroom” English Teaching Program. 🌍✨

Our international students enthusiastically taught basic English and introduced their home countries, cultures, and traditions, creating a lively and engaging learning atmosphere for the local students. 🌏

After the teaching session, everyone enjoyed a glass making experience, exploring creativity through hands-on craftsmanship and creating unique glass artworks. 🔥🪞✨

It was a day filled with learning, cultural exchange, and memorable moments. We’re grateful for this wonderful opportunity and look forward to the next event! 🌟

2026–2027學年度傅爾布萊特獎助學金已於4月中旬開放申請。為協助本校師生瞭解各項獎助內容及申請方向，Fulbright Taiwan（學術交流基金會）將來校辦理申請說明會。

本次說明會將介紹各類獎助計畫，涵蓋項目包括：應屆畢業生擔任華語助教、學生出國攻讀學位、在職人士進修、中小學教師教案研究，以及大學教師研究計畫等。現場亦將說明申請與審查重點，並開放問答交流。

The 2026–2027 Fulbright Scholarship Program has been open for applications since mid-April. To help faculty members and students better understand the available grants and application directions, Fulbright Taiwan will host an information session on campus.

The session will introduce various Fulbright programs, including opportunities for graduating students to serve as Mandarin Teaching Assistants, students pursuing degree studies abroad, professionals seeking further training, primary and secondary school teachers conducting curriculum research, and university faculty undertaking research projects. Key application and review criteria will also be explained, followed by a Q&A session.

【Miaoli Cultural Trip】Last weekend, our international students visited the Sanyi Wood Sculpture Museum and were lucky enough to see the beautiful Tung Blossom!🌸 We also had the traditional “harvest meal”, a special countryside feast that celebrates the rice harvest, and got hands-on making red turtle cakes (紅龜粿) during a fun DIY session. It was truly a meaningful journey full of culture, learning, and unforgettable memories! 🌾✨

[Conversation Circle] April 21st, 2026

Thank you all for joining us this week! 🎉

This time, we sipped our way into Taiwan’s bubble tea culture with a fun and practical session on how to order drinks in Chinese! 🧋🇹🇼

With the support of two Mandarin teachers, everyone had the chance to practice more confidently and naturally throughout the session. 🧑‍🏫✨

From sugar levels to ice preferences, participants stepped into a simulated Taiwanese drink shop and practiced placing their own orders in Mandarin. 🎤🍹
With extra guidance and real-time feedback, it felt just like ordering at a real drink shop in Taiwan!

And the best part? You all walked away with a drink you actually liked—just like in Taiwan! 😄

🗣 Learning how to order like a local is a small but powerful step toward exploring a new culture. We hope this session gave you both confidence and a craving for your next cup of bubble tea!
