Austin Community College’s Jewelry Department is offering a full semester course on weaving Chainmaille this Fall! Taught by Deborah Wilson Taylor of Femailler, this course utilizes fully online asynchronous training, and is available as both Credit or Continuing Education. When registering for this 16-week long class through Continuing Education, the price is kept affordable (about $400 in tuition, and about another $250 in tools, materials, and fees). And because the class is delivered online, students can enroll from anywhere in the country.

We are currently enrolling for our Summer 2026 semester of jewelry-making classes at Austin Community College! Classes are already beginning to fill; if the desired class is full, get on the waitlist — we usually have some openings after the first payment deadline. All of our classes are also available as Continuing Education.

We have classes in fabrication, casting, repair, stonesetting, engraving, business, and more! No prior experience necessary — beginners are always welcome! ⚒️🔥💍
