It's Indigenous Peoples' Day, and the Community College of Baltimore County is proud to celebrate. "Indigenous Peoples Day honors the resilience, sovereignty and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples throughout the United States," writes CCBC President Dr. Sandra Kurtinitis in her latest blog post. "For community colleges, Indigenous Peoples' Day carries particular significance. Our institutions are built upon the belief that education should be accessible to all and that every individual deserves to be welcomed, respected and valued. The day reminds us of the importance of creating communities grounded in dignity, understanding and belonging." Read more on the blog.

Learn about Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a time to honor the history, resilience, cultures and lasting contributions of Indigenous peoples while reflecting on the importance of respect, inclusion and understanding.

1 in 5 people will face a mental health challenge in their lifetime, yet many still hesitate to ask for help. Listening is one of the simplest ways we can break the stigma and support a friend, family member, or classmate in need.

This , CCBC President Dr. Kurtinitis and our NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore student ambassadors are putting that into practice by pledging to listen.

Watch their message and join them by making your own pledge.

This week, CCBC celebrated the groundbreaking of our Transportation Technology Center expansion project, along with the ribbon cutting ceremony for the recent renovations inside the existing building.

The $28 million expansion project will support the growing need for training in electric and alternative fuel vehicles.

Thank you to Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, local legislators, funders, members of the CCBC Board of Trustees, and the college community for celebrating this moment with us!
