Hornet Nation showed up and showed out at Birmingham City Hall this morning! 🐝💛🖤
Members of our chapter joined the City of Birmingham, Alabama A&M, and the SWAC for the press conference unveiling "A Classic Tradition: The History, Culture & Legacy of the Magic City Classic." It's a new exhibit of archival photos from the 1950s to today. It tells the story of the football, the bands, the tailgates and, of course, the fifth quarter.
As Mayor Randall Woodfin put it, the Magic City Classic is "bigger than football." Seeing generations of Hornets on those walls, our band, our fans, our traditions, was a proud moment for every ASU alum in the room. Rivals on the field. Family in the Magic City.
A special shout out to our Chapter President, Valencia Moss, and our National Alumni Association President, Marcedia Bolden, for representing Alabama State so well this morning. Thank you for always leading from the front and making sure the Hornets are in the room where history is being honored! 👏🏾

🏈 The 85th Magic City Classic kicks off Saturday, Oct. 31 at 2:30 PM at Legion Field. We'll see you there in black and gold!
