Thank you to everyone who came out and showed your support for the Marching Bulldogs at our 2026 Show Preview! 💙🐾We are beyond grateful to have such an amazing audience of family, friends, faculty, donors, and supporters cheering us on.

A special thanks to Samford Football, their staff, and head coach, John Grass, for their support and for joining us in food and fellowship afterwards.

Lastly, we couldn’t have done it without Samford University Majorettes Samford University Marching Band Auxiliary and Samford’s School of the Arts!

The sun was burning and so were the calves🔥
Today, students hit the ground running reviewing and learning basic marching techniques. Even some friendly “Drill Down” competitions were held. Tomorrow, students begin learning this year’s field show: “Get Down!”

What a joy it was to have Bill Humbert at Samford University to work with us on team building, leadership, and motivation. He led three inspiring workshops for us today! It was a full and fun day of learning and inspiration.

We appreciated a fantastic day of new beginnings from instrument and locker checkouts, informational meetings, and health training classes from Dr. Shannon Ashe! We greatly appreciated an additional welcome from School of the Arts Dean, Dr. Lance Beaumont, and music chair, Dr. Joel Davis. More tomorrow…

Samford Drum Major Clinic! June 30th 2-7pm, Dinner Provided

We are excited to introduce the first-ever Samford Drum Major Clinic! Our guest clinician this year will be Mr. Samuel Crawford, former drum major of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, where he helped lead the organization to one gold medal and two bronze medals.Mr. Crawford will present sessions covering drum major leadership, conducting fundamentals, and have an open Q&A. In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in an in-person masterclass where they may conduct portions of their upcoming marching band show and receive live feedback and instruction from him directly.
