September 19th: Sports on the Drill Field (4 P.M.- 6:30 P.M.) September 23rd: Closed Rush
Established in 1899, the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity has long stood for the time honored traditions created by our founders while also embracing the new century with our motto, "Better Men. We are a group of individuals that are dedicated to academics, athletics, leadership, philanthropy, and building friendships that last a lifetime. Our chapter has a very strict no hazing policy and is based entirely around the principles of Brotherhood. ATHLETICS
Intramural Sports Hokie Grail Winners 3 times out of the past four years. We consistently field teams in a large variety of different sports. Participate with sororities on several different co-rec teams
SERVICE
Giving back to the community is something we take pride in and actively strive to do. Participating in events like Greeks Giving Back, Relay for Life, The Big Event, Hokie Helpers, Special Olympics Bowling, and other smaller service events around the area have helped us gain the respect and appreciation from the local community. Our efforts also helped us to recently make our community service program award winning
SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship is key as success for a Delta Sig beyond their college career is essential. Consistently among the top five fraternities in grades. Last spring we earned a cumulative 3.09, higher than the all-undergraduate average and earning us one of the highest grade averages out of any fraternity
During our pledge process, new members are required to attend study hours, and are connected with brothers in their majors who can help them with classes and course registration. LEADERSHIP
Brothers throughout Delta Sig are involved in SGA, Ring Design, Student Alumni Associates, Interfraternity Council, the Collegiate Times and are Orientation leaders, Hokie Ambassadors, Resident Advisors. PHILANTHROPY
Each year we support our national philanthropic organization, the American Red Cross with our events See-Saw for Life and Egyptian Expedition (our week long philanthropy in which sororities compete in fundraising and fun activities)
We also participate and take pride in our participation in other organizations philanthropies.
