This weekend we welcomed the Class of 2030 to Hamilton Lugar with breakfast and a conversation with Congressman Jefferson Shreve, then headed across campus for behind-the-scenes tours of Indiana University Bloomington men’s basketball and football facilities, including a chance to see the national championship trophy.

These outstanding Indiana students will receive $20,000 over four years through the Shreve Scholars Program as they pursue their interests in global affairs and critical regions of the world.

We’re excited to have them at Indiana University and can’t wait to see where the next four years take them.

Last week we celebrated our incoming class of Hamilton Lugar Students at our annual Induction Ceremony and Backyard Party.

Per tradition, every student received a Charter of the United Nations and a speech from the Hamilton Lugar School Student Government President Celine Yang to inspire them for the upcoming semester.

We were also super excited to host David Dávila and MATIXANDO, an organization of various musical projects, founded and directed by the Costa Rican singer-songwriter.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the event, it was great meeting all of you!

Every year, around the first week of school, Language Fest brings together the most passionate faculty and students to promote Hamilton Lugar's abundance of language options.

This year was no different. Our community gathered to share the love for language-learning and cultural-exchange at our language expo and language micro-lessons. Despite budget cuts, Hamilton Lugar continues to promote critical language study, offering 70+ languages to students throughout their academic careers.
