A big congratulations to business students Katya Castro Gutierrez (Team Nest) and Owen Roddy and Hailey Orr-Depner (Team Social C) for representing the College of Charleston in the 2026 Palmetto Pitch Competition!

Both ventures earned spots among the competition's Top 25 semi-finalists from more than 100 student team submissions statewide. We’re proud to celebrate their entrepreneurial spirit and the innovation they brought to the competition!

Congratulations to Rachel Ganz ’29 and Aiden Garrett ’29, who have been selected to represent the College of Charleston in the PackagingSchool scholarship program, offered in partnership with the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation!

Selected from 27 applicants representing 15 universities, they are among just 10 students nationwide to receive a full scholarship to the Certificate of Mastery in Packaging Management program.

Supply chain management students recently attended "Disruption: The New Business Reality – How to Maintain Operational Resilience and Profitability," an executive networking event hosted by STAR Cooperation in Charleston.

Students had the opportunity to engage with leaders in manufacturing, economic development and industry, including keynote speaker Ashely Teasdel, deputy secretary of commerce for South Carolina. Representing the College were Mark Harde, Maddie Crawshaw, Ezequiel Emanuele Goetzke, Ella Gilbert and Mikayla McGillian. The experience provided valuable connections with business leaders and insight into today's evolving business environment.
