Eden Dowell Canard ('24) was named a 2026 Women for OSU Scholar. She serves at Lighthouse Medical Clinic and in a campus leadership role as the Administrative Vice President for the Student Government Association. She is also an OSU College of Medicine student ambassador, as well as a campus life assistant.

This Wednesday, we had the joy of hosting a Legacy Student Meet & Greet in the Legacy Lounge! We loved getting to meet so many wonderful legacy students and celebrate the special connections that make the OC community so meaningful.

A Legacy student is a student whose parent(s) or grandparent(s) also attended Oklahoma Christian. As a Legacy, they carry forward the values and spirit of Oklahoma Christian University, building on the foundation of those before them.

Guests enjoyed delicious desserts, fellowship and a giveaway basket filled with gift cards from local Edmond businesses!

Mary Ellen (Duvall '24) Dunham received the Oklahoma NextGen Under 30 Award in the Media, Public Relations, Marketing & Advertising category. Dunham is a Communications Specialist/Writer at Bethany Children's Health Center. The NextGen Under 30 mission is to identify and honor talented young Oklahomans and encourage them to follow their lifetime family and career goals in Oklahoma. Mary Ellen stated about her time at OC, "I want to thank the incredible Communications Department Professors for their dedication to making their students feel as if they can do anything!"

A favorite OC tradition is back this Thursday, August 27! Come see OC faculty and staff take the stage for a night of music, fun and laughs at First Week Follies.

The show starts at 7:00 pm in Baugh Auditorium. Admission is free. We hope to see you there this Thursday night!

Hannah Ketring Brown ('14) joined national law firm Bass, Berry & Sims as an associate in the firm's Nashville office. She provides healthcare regulatory and transactional counsel as it relates to mergers, acquisitions, compliance, and operational matters. Previously, Ketring Brown was an associate at Holland & Knight, LLP. Before joining the legal industry, she was a teacher through Teach for America.

Bob (’70) and Jan (Robbins ’69) Young are coauthors of "Unhesitatingly: Memories of Faith, Family, Ministry and Missions," released earlier this year. Bob is completing 60 years of ministry in August. They worship with the Fort Gibson Church of Christ where Bob serves as mission point person.
