Alumni Spotlight: Brooke McCorkle (‘24)🎓

Meet Brooke McCorkle, a 2024 graduate of the University of Evansville Schroeder School of Business with degrees in Accounting and Finance.

Today, Brooke works as a Tax Accounting Analyst at Koch in Wichita, Kansas, where she supports the Koch Agriculture and Energy Solutions business.

Reflecting on her time at UE, Brooke shared:
“The UE School of Business played a huge role in preparing me for my career by providing opportunities to gain real-world experience through internships. The knowledge and skills I developed in the classroom gave me a strong foundation, while my two internships allowed me to apply what I learned in a professional setting. Those experiences were incredibly valuable in helping me grow both personally and professionally, and they ultimately led me to my current role as a Tax Accounting Analyst at Koch. I’m grateful for the support, mentorship, and hands-on opportunities that helped launch my career.”

We’re proud to see Brooke putting her UE education into practice and building a successful career in accounting! 💜

Discovering hidden gems in the world of logistics and supply chain management!🚢

Thank you to Josette Kuphall, Assistant Vice President of Logistics and Customer Service at Ingram Marine Group, for visiting our Logistics and Supply Chain Management class!

Josette introduced students to the barge and inland waterways industry, which moves a significant share of the nation’s bulk freight. While this industry plays a vital role in keeping the nation’s supply chain moving, it can be an overlooked gem when it comes to career opportunities. That’s why industry leaders like Josette are so important in raising awareness of the field and helping students discover career paths they may not have previously known!

Based in Nashville, Ingram Barge Company is a leader in the industry, offering several career pathways. The company is eager to connect with students and recent graduates for potential internships and full-time positions.

Thank you, Josette, for sharing your expertise and helping our students discover new possibilities in supply chain management! 💜

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
