National Women's Small Business Month is designated to highlight women-owned enterprises across creative, STEM, and service sectors. Women now own over 40% of all U.S. businesses, employing 12.6 million people and generating $2.8 trillion in revenue, according to a recent report. Black women are currently the fastest-growing demographic of entrepreneurs in the U.S., owning approximately 3.5 million businesses and generating more than $60 billion in annual revenue.
Delta Sigma Theta continues to support the economic expansion of women-owned businesses across the U.S. Through programs like Delta Red Tank and platforms like the Delta Red Pages, the Sorority supports small business owners, underscoring our commitment to Financial Fortitude throughout our communities.
Throughout modern history, women's contributions to business and entrepreneurship have been vital to the strength and success of our economy. It is imperative that we continue to empower women to pursue business endeavors with confidence and fervor.
