Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) is an independent, nonprofit university offering degrees in advanced manufacturing, engineering, robotics, nursing, cybersecurity, and other critical fields. Founded in 2001, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is the first private comprehensive University established in Pennsylvania in more than 100 years. Offering undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines, Harrisburg University has grown into a global institution. The University also has locations in Philadelphia and Panama and takes its programs overseas to India, Dubai, the Cayman Islands, Iceland, and beyond. Harrisburg University remains the only STEM-focused comprehensive university located between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Harrisburg University has been designated a PA Hunger-Free Campus by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, recognizing the University’s efforts to address food insecurity and connect students with essential resources.

HU is one of 89 colleges, universities, and other postsecondary institutions across the Commonwealth that currently hold the designation.

Harrisburg University is the first college or university in Pennsylvania to earn certification through the PA Navigate Campus Certification Program, recognizing its commitment to connecting students with essential resources and support.

Through PA Navigate, HU’s Student Care and Development team connects students with community services for basic needs such as food, housing, transportation, financial assistance, health and wellness, and employment. The initiative helps ensure students have access to the support they need to persist in their education and succeed beyond the classroom.

Harrisburg University alumna Priyadharshini “Priya” Rajmohan has received the Next Gen Award from the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania, recognizing her contributions to the region’s technology community.

A 2025 graduate of HU’s MS in Analytics program, Priya works as an IT Technology Analyst II at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, developing business intelligence, AI and data analytics solutions. She also serves on HU’s Alumni Council and holds leadership roles with organizations supporting women in technology and transportation.

Explore the possibilities of advanced manufacturing and robotics at Harrisburg University on November 4!

Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics Day invites high school students to participate in hands-on activities in HU’s laboratories and manufactories, exploring automation, augmented and virtual reality, 3D printing, robotics and more.

Students and their teachers, counselors, and other educators will have the opportunity to interact with HU faculty and students, get a preview of college-level materials science research, and learn more about HU’s Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics program.

Lunch will be provided for all attendees!
