A new dinosaur has been named by Harrisburg University Professor Dr. Steven Jasinski and paleontologist Robert Sullivan.

Dinevenator robustus was a troodontid that lived in what is now New Mexico 73 million years ago. Estimated at 8-10 feet long and weighing up to 300 pounds, it adds to our understanding of the diversity of Late Cretaceous dinosaurs in North America.

Paleontologists from Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science — Drs. Steven Jasinski and Robert Sullivan — have recently named and described Dinevenator, a new genus of theropod dinosaur closely related to Troodon.
