After years of treatment for an aggressive testicular cancer, IU Indianapolis student Trevor Darley found a team at the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center that developed a plan for his care. He has now been cancer-free since 2023, and is continuing his studies in computer science at the IU Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, Indianapolis.

To celebrate Trevor's triumphant story and the life-changing work of his care team, Trevor, his family and cancer center researchers were recognized at an IU Football game during an on-field Indiana University Foundation Never Daunted Moment.

Bringing dental care closer to rural Indiana families. 🦷🤝

The Indiana University School of Dentistry is expanding access to oral healthcare in underserved communities across the state. Thanks to a $2 million grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration, the school will launch a five-year initiative that places dental hygienists and students in rural health centers and community settings, helping connect children and families with preventive care while providing valuable hands-on experience for future providers.

Indiana University School of Medicine is addressing the growing need for higher-quality, credible pediatric autism evaluations. 🤝📋

Through a new five-year, $7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health, a new initiative will be the largest study to date on training primary care clinicians to diagnose autism. Led by Rebecca McNally Keehn, PhD, associate professor of pediatrics at the IU School of Medicine, the study will enroll nearly 200 clinicians and test different combinations of training strategies, including online learning modules, case-based observation and expert coaching.

The new Ray Bradbury Museum at IU Indianapolis is now open.

Located on the first floor of the Education and Social Work Building, the museum brings the legendary “Fahrenheit 451” author’s creative world to life with original artifacts and a re-creation of his basement office.
