Decision Day celebrations for the class of 2026! 🎉

KSCAC advisors spent the spring planning Decision Day events to honor graduating seniors and their exciting next steps.

From one advisor, “I loved seeing the senior class enjoy Decision Day and appreciating all the prep work that went into it. My school community really showed up for them. It’s been a highlight to see teachers, staff, and family rally around the next generation and celebrate their journeys.”

Congratulations, class of 2026! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 👏

April all-team training offered a chance to reflect on the school year, learn from each other, and hear from several guest speakers.

Advisors heard from KSU’s Center for Academic Innovation on workforce market trends and learned more about the Kansas Promise Scholarship from Heather Morgan of the Kansas Association of Community Colleges.

We reflected on an exciting milestone and previewed what’s next for KSCAC — more on that soon! 👀

🎉Big news to kick off the new year!

KSCAC is thrilled to be part of a $1 million grant from the Patterson Family Foundation to transform Kansas’ manufacturing workforce by expanding training, strengthening STEM education, and providing one-on-one career counseling in rural schools.

Over the next two years, more than 1,500 students and 14 teachers will be impacted, strengthening Kansas' workforce and communities for years to come.🌾

Advisors are back to wrap up the semester after an energizing two days on Manhattan’s K-State campus for all-team training! We learned from new presenters including Windy Nicholson on self care, Dr. Jessica Lane on K-State’s school counseling program, Anna Lock on advising student athletes, and three of our own KSCAC alums on life after the Corps: Evelyn Irigoyen-Aguirre, and Aneth Morales.

Meet Parker McGowan! Parker is a first year advisor serving at Shawnee Mission North High School. So far, he has really enjoyed connecting with students and making a difference in an exciting part of their lives 🤩

Next up in our meet the advisor series is Kinsey Davidson! Kinsey is a first year advisor at F.L. Schlagle High School. So far, she has most enjoyed the opportunity to learn about each student’s dreams for the future and helping them figure out the path to achieve it. Kinsey is most looking forward to seeing what paths students take after graduation. ✨
