Meet Isla!💎

"Hi! My name is Isla Vicari, and I’m from Algonquin, Illinois! I chose to go Panhellenic because as an out of state student, I really wanted to find a community of like-minded, intelligent women who could become my home away from home. I was looking for a place where I could build genuine friendships, get involved, and create memories with women who would support and encourage me throughout college. I found that feeling of home in Alpha Delta Pi! I’m so excited to serve alongside my sisters, grow together, and make so many memories throughout my time at KU!"

Congrats to our two scholars, Lily and Katlyn!📚

Lily is a junior in Kappa Alpha Theta and her goal for this semester is to strengthen her French speaking and listening abilities in preparation for her semester abroad in the spring! Her goal is to become proficient enough in the language so that she can fully dive into her business studies while abroad. This summer, Lily had a full-time, major specific job as a Communications Assistant at Monarch Watch here at KU, which blends an on-campus job with an international nonprofit. Lily says “It combines my passion for environmental science with my growing experience in communications, public relations, and business. I am proud of the work I was able to do for them this summer. I learned a lot about my passions and am looking forward to taking these lessons into my future career.” Congratulations Lily!

Katlyn is a junior Sigma Kappa studying behavioral neuroscience and pre-medicine. One academic goal she has for this semester is to become more proactive in using the campus resources available to her by taking advantage of resources such as PLUS Sessions and asking questions. She has also started organizing weekly schedules to lay out what needs to be completed each day, with the goal of finishing assignments early. This past summer, Katlyn had an internship as a Behavior Technician where she gained valuable clinical experience that will support her goal of attending medical school. She says “Working directly with children in an autism center gave me real-world experience and strengthened my interest in becoming a developmental psychiatrist.” Congratulations Katlyn, we applaud your dedication!
