A proud return from San Antonio for Wiley University’s Great Debaters! 💜🏆

Competing at the Battle of the Alamo, the Melvin B. Tolson/Denzel Washington Forensics Society captured first-place overall sweepstakes on Day 1 and second-place overall sweepstakes on Day 2, earning recognition across debate and individual events.

Every round challenged our students to turn research into persuasive arguments, respond thoughtfully under pressure, and stand confidently behind their work. Their success reflects the academic excellence and leadership that Wiley students bring to the competition and beyond.

A special shoutout to their coach and Wiley University alumnus, Ernest Mack, for guiding our students and investing in the debate tradition he is helping carry forward.

Congratulations, Great Debaters! Your Wiley University community is proud of you!
