Good morning, folks!
We have a bit of news to pass along regarding our annual Putting for Presents Golf Tournament, which serves as the Foundation's primary fundraiser. Unfortunately, due to low registration and sponsorship numbers, this year's event has been cancelled. Our golf tournament has become increasingly difficult to rely on as the Foundation's lone fundraising endeavor, especially when we've striven to keep it affordable for our participants. We've taken a ton of pride in the fact that our tournament, in comparison to most others, did not price people out of participating. The unfortunate reality is, while we've had to raise prices slightly, interest in the tournament has dwindled SIGNIFICANTLY. It goes without saying - those two things are not conducive to sustainability as a small non-profit.
So, with ALL of that said, it's back to the drawing board for the Nodaway County First Responder Foundation family, as well as our old Santa Cops for Kids tag-alongs. We greatly appreciate your support, and look to continue supporting the youth of Nodaway County for years to come. As our motto goes, this truly is OUR community, and it is an absolute blessing and an honor to serve its people.
